Decline of a Legend

Ok so Final Fantasy may have hit a decline in recent years, well it did. Where did it all start? Probably with one of the most critically acclaimed games in the series Final Fantasy X Why do I say this? Like all games it was a huge step forward, detailed character models, emotions on the faces, and voiced dialogue. All well and good, but it opened the door for Final Fantasy XI. Final Fantasy XI was a huge and distant development from any previous games, all online with great separation from the main series. People may complain about Final Fantasy X-2 and say it was the worst, it was not, and it had the best ATB in any FF game, and brought back the job system that was later used differently for FF12. Yes it was a bit girlier, but it also gave us some more Final Fantasy Heroines, each with personality and development. Story-wise Final Fantasy 10-2 is lacking against the other games, unless you plug it into FFX, and the special FMV.
Aside from this Final Fantasy X also ditched the standard leveling, skill and ability charts. Which may be one of the reasons why I dislike it as much as I do, great game though. FF12 ditched the battle scene for a open exploration and battles, alongside this it had a somewhat weak story and an odd item and very different skill system. I enjoyed 12 more so then 10, but still.
When FFXIII hit people panned it as the worst final fantasy, they cleaned it up a bit for FFXIII-2, but the flaws remained. Both great games in their own right, but how’d they go so wrong? I say westernization began in FF11 and expanded in 12, but with the higher ups in Square looking at games like Call of Duty as what they should use as an example it really hurt it. It was meant to be much freer, you can find concepts and interviews everywhere, all cut. I agree with the rumor/semi-fact, that when the game was being put on the Xbox 360 they had to cut down on data usage.
So if we trace it back, progression slowly led to the breakdown of the series. I’m sure the great series can return, and I feel like without voiced dialogue and fully detailed characters the series would have died ages ago. So if FFX, FFX-2, 11, 12, or 13 was the one where it broke down, it doesn’t matter, without every entry the series would have became stale and plain.

Asura's Wrath

A bit late but i finally am posting it.

I thought the VA was good, but honestly i went in not expecting it to be any good, figured I'd play it in Japanese. It bothered me that the game changed so much from the first PV. But I enjoyed the game and the music (Yasha's theme was AAA class theme music). This game is a really unique experience, but many pass over it or speak negatively due to thinking it'd be like GOW or DMC. But this game is different. A survival mode would have been just awesome. The move sets were a little weak but beautifully brutal.
Some music could have used a touch more uniqueness, i felt as though it was Naruto impact all over again in that area.

Graphics: 8
Sound: 8
Fun 7~10

The DLC vs Ryu and Akuma were my favorite part, however choosing to add a final chapter as paid DLC was ludicrous.

Legend of Zelda

Skyward sword

Link awakens to his fate drawing the goddess sword... awesome.

Despite the long video explaining how to set unplug, and calibrate the Wii motion plus, the 25th anniversary of LOZ is great.
Settle reference to link's awakening, YAY I CAN RUN AND JUMP. OH, this Zelda is definitely the princesses cutest rendition in ages lol.
Creepy boat dad returns in a new non-boat form.
Of course there is the awkward i know what to do, but how do i do it? Shut up and tell me how to... ok yeah just ignore what i just found out. Yeah that thing returns.
Swordplay is fun, spin attacks are easy.
Flying takes getting used to, but it's kind of fun.
Diving is cool and all but the control for it sucks. It took me way too long to hit in that circle.
I got good at using shield bash.
You have a rival called Groose or something, i hate him. So be sure to beat him in the race.
Oh Zelda... why do you always get stolen.

Fun: 8/10
Sound 10/10 who doesn't love that.
graphics: 9/10 they are great but i think it could be a bit better, twilight princess had much cleaner graphics but it looks beautiful.
It’s tough getting used to moving the Wii mote rather than aiming.

Fate//Extra

FATE//EXTRA Review:

NOTE: if you want The Black rock shooter game, get this. Same company.

I have not got to the action yet but the way its down kind of drags you into the fat universe.
You have a seat in Taiga's class, so you're not too far away from where you were in the anime.
Rin Tohsaka shows up day 2. But something’s not right....
This world may be fake?
Your main character has no memories outside school; does he even know his name?
He’s basically a blank slate for you. But he's just for the prologue.
Now the game, chose a gender, then decide between your 3 servants, i chose saber, this incarnation is a little full of herself but it's while the look is similar, she is a new Saber. Then an Archer, possibly the on from the main series. And a new class. However I have yet to check out the others.
A rock Paper scissors battle system that is very fast paced and calculated. You get 6 attacks a turn as does your opponent, your job is to concur them move wise, if 3 attacks connect in a row you get a bonus free hit.
Graphics: 9/10 clean cut and full. Nothing amazing.
Sound:    8/10 music could be better, original Japanese audio (LOVE IT!)
Game play: 9/10 simple and easy, maybe to simple but it looks good, and i cannot deny that i love it.
Story telling: 10/10 story telling is very important for RPGS. I found myself caught off guard by how well you are immersed in the game's world.

There is a hidden boss i hear, look up garden of sinners.

Batman Arkham city first Impressons

Arkham city

Amazing voice work coupled with really nice graphics and charecter models make the first look a sight to begold. the trailers did no justice to having the controller in hand! i won't spoil anything, but the first scene... is amazing.
The city is a tad tough to navigate due to it's massive size, you adapt to it tho, and the glide/dive bomb is a little difficult to get used to but you get better with time.

been playing it constantly, love this game so much.

Assassins Creed 2

I started Assassins Creed 2 last Saturday. I finished the first earlier that day. The first impression i got was the texture account is higher, but the realism of everything has dropped. So while the graphics are better, they aren't quite as real, more refined though, very well rounded. NPCs are terribly annoying sometimes; AI could stand improvement but it's fine.
 Graphics:   8.5
Sound:      9
Gameplay: 10
Fun:           7~10
Great game minor problems, i got stuck on the ground and he was acting like he was on a perch, some NPC annoyances, but much less then Assassins Creed 1 (thank god they removed those mentally ill ones!).
